Brandon: 5-26-2010/New York

How can i explain my experience in New York? It was a really good trip. I finally went to the new cafe in Times Square. It wasn't as crowded as it usually is, but for a day where most people are working, or in school. It was packed. I didn't fully understand the significance, and the seriousness of the bike lane until i was yelled at. I was told after she yelled at me that it was as serious as a car lane if not more serious. Hence the loud green pavement on the lane.
We recorded alot of things while walking in New York. We went into the large Toys R' Us with the Ferris Wheel. And we recorded a normal day in the toy store. Some guy was showing off a new style of hackysack in the shape of a square. He gave some of us the hackysacks meanwhile he was doing tricks with his cellphone. It was interesting to see that this simple game has turned itself into a fulltime hobby.
We recorded one of us playing Dance Dance Revolution, also called DDR. It was kind of fun to be recording something interesting for once. We recorded some point of view shots aswell as some walking shots near an entrance to a subway. I ate at some overpriced pizza joint near manhattan mall. I ordered two sicilian slices and a bottle of soda for like 10 bucks. We only had a half an hour to eat and i was pretty desperate for food. On our way back to the rendezvous point, we looked around in the mall for 30 minutes before heading to the path train. Overall i think this trip to New York was a fun experience.
